Find Hub for Wear OS adds very basic ‘Find people’ app

Google is rolling out an update to Find Hub on Wear OS that adds a “Find people” app to your watch. The experience was previously just for your devices.

The “Find people” icon is green with a similar radar-esque design as Find Hub. Launching shows a list of “People” that “Can see your location” and for how long.

You’d expect to see a map on your wrist after opening the contact page, but there’s nothing descriptive. Instead, Google just notes that they “Can see your location until you turn off” with a link to “View their location on phone.”

It’s unclear if this is the intended behavior or if we’re missing a server-side update to add a basic map view, like what devices get.

There’s an additional bug when you tap “Settings” on the main screen as it launches Google Play services in full.

Version 1.0.429.0 of Find Hub is rolling out via the Play Store this morning.
