MediaTek’s flagship laptop chip is the Dimensity CX C10 Max, debuts in a Lenovo Googlebook

The initial batch of Googlebook laptops that debuted earlier today use either Intel or Qualcomm chipsets, but MediaTek has confirmed it will also be backing the platform with the debut of its flagship laptop chip, the Dimensity CX C10 Max, which will show up in an incoming Lenovo Googlebook.

Following Qualcomm’s push in recent years on the Snapdragon X lineup, MediaTek is introducing its CX line of “Compute Experiences” chips. The first release is the Dimensity CX C10 Max, a 3nm chip built on TSMC’s process with an octa-core All Big Core design – 1x Arm Cortex-X925, 3x Arm Cortex-X4, 4x Arm Cortex-A720 –, 11-core GPU, and a dedicated NPU for boosting AI performance – all without fans or battery woes.

MediaTek explains:

Built on TSMC’s advanced 3nm process, Dimensity CX C10 Max utilizes an All Big Core design with octa-core CPU, 11-core GPU, and MediaTek’s 8th-generation NPU in a highly efficient platform engineered to deliver stellar performance across multitasking, productivity, entertainment, intelligent assistance, and more. Its power-efficient architecture enables manufacturers to design thinner, lighter, and fanless devices with all-day battery life.

The C10 Max is said to deliver 55 TOPs of performance for AI tasks while also offering features such as Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 (though not in Googlebooks), and more.

MediaTek says in an email to 9to5Google that the Dimensity CX C10 Max will make its debut in an upcoming Googlebook product from Lenovo. That’s not the initial Lenovo Googlebook (15-inch) which is powered by Intel. Presumably, it’s for Lenovo’s leaked tablet that’s using the Googlebook OS.
