Samsung rolling out Android 17 for more Galaxy devices in the US

Samsung’s Android 17 rollout is speeding up, with more last-gen Galaxy devices now getting One UI 9 updates in the US.

After a delay, Samsung started rolling out its Android 17 update more broadly to Galaxy devices at the end of September. It started off with the Galaxy S26 series, but the update is now rolling out a bit more broadly in the US market.

That includes the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, which are now getting Android 17 in the US. SamMobile notes that Fold 7 owners on T-Mobile and Verizon are both seeing the update land, while it’s showing up for Galaxy Z Flip 7 owners on AT&T. Unlocked units are likely to see the update arrive in the next few days or so.

Meanwhile, Galaxy S25 is also seeing its stable update in the States, apparently also only on certain carrier-locked variants. SammyGuru points out Verizon support, with the update also showing up for Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy S25 Edge alongside the core lineup.
