Google ‘Fitbit Edge’ reportedly costs around $180 as specs & features leak

A new leak reveals that Google’s upcoming Fitbit Edge tracker will probably have a price somewhere around $180 and offer 7-day battery life.

Having first appeared in a marketing leak and, more recently, a set of leaked images, Google’s Fitbit Edge tracker is a middle ground between the Pixel Watch 5 and the screen-less Fitbit Air. It has a smaller size than the Watch, but has a screen to display notifications and other features beyond what the Air’s minimalist experience delivers.

Today, a second major leak reveals more details about the Fitbit Edge, including its price.

Dealabs reports that the Fitbit Edge will have a price of €179 in Europe and £159 in the UK. By comparison, Fitbit Air costs €99 and £85 in those regions, meaning the Fitbit Edge will likely cost around $180 in the United States.

The report goes on to offer more detailed specs for the tracker, including its 1.34-inch display, detailed battery life estimates, and more. Here’s the breakdown.

Fitbit Edge Specs

  • Display: 1.34-inch AMOLED
  • Battery Life: 7 days without always-on display, 2 days with always-on display
  • Charging: 24 hours of battery in 5 minutes
  • Water Resistance: IP68/5ATM
  • Phone Compatibility: Android 11+, iOS 16.4+
  • Bluetooth 5.4
  • Fitness tracking: SpO2, steps, heart rate, blood pressure/insulin trends, ECG, VO2 Max, more
  • Weight: 17.7g

The report also mentions support for Gemini, some form of Google Play integration, and that the battery is user-replaceable.

Also notable here is that Fitbit Edge is apparently compatible with iPhone, something that it shares in common with Fitbit Air, but that the Pixel Watch series lacks.

A release date for the Fitbit Edge remains unknown at this point, but it’s clear that the tracker is making its debut in the very near future.
