Motorola has seemingly introduced a revised 2nd generation Moto Hint, bringing some moderate improvements to the Bluetooth headset that the company introduced last year. It’s similar enough to last year’s model that most won’t even notice that there’s any difference, but upon closer inspection, this seems to be a worthy upgrade…
While the first Moto Hint brought a design that saw the earpiece simply curve into the ear canal, the second generation Moto Hint goes with an earpiece that resembles a typical headphone earbud. This brings “improved fit and enhanced audio,” according to the company.
The front of the new retain packaging advertises dramatically improved battery life, up 70% over the first generation product. The original had a solid 10 hours of claimed battery life, meaning this device touts as much as 17. Additionally, the 2nd gen Moto Hint purportedly introduces “crystal talk noise and wind-cancelling technology” and Bluetooth 3.0.
While it doesn’t look like the product pages on the Motorola and Best Buy websites have been updated yet, the latter seems to offer the device at a reduced $130 MSRP (down from $150). Motorola is currently offering the device on sale for $80, but that’s probably going to snag you one of the old models.
