HTC One M10 will purportedly pull a lot of inspiration from the HTC One A9

Not much about the HTC One M10 has leaked yet, which is an oddity for the Taiwanese company. HTC’s handsets—including most recently the HTC One M9 and A9—have a track record of being some of the first to leak in the Spring Android phone refresh cycle, making their way out via Evleaks, Upleaks, TENAA, and other sources. Unsurprisingly, it looks like Evleaks has his hands on some information. For now, though, all he’s saying is that those that like the HTC One A9 will love the HTC One M10…

The HTC One A9 is the phone that looks just like an iPhone, although many would argue that the iPhone 6 line stole its aesthetics from the HTC One. The phone has a Snapdragon 617 with built-in X8 LT, 2GB RAM, a 5-inch full HD AMOLED display w/ Gorilla Glass, and a 13MP main camera with OIS and phase-detection autofocus. Overall, it’s a nice phone—probably the best phone from the company since the One M8.

While we haven’t seen actual images of the HTC One M10 leak quite yet, we do purportedly have a few details. Leak LlabTooFeR said just a few days ago that the phone will come in two variants, a Snapdragon 820 version and a MediaTek version, and will be released during a dedicated event. Apparently, the phone will ship with Android 6.0.1 and HTC’s Sense 8.0. That’s all we know for now, but Evleaks says he has a post incoming.

In news unrelated to the HTC One M10, rumors have been swirling as of late that HTC will be making two Nexus handsets for Google this year. If you’re anything like me, this is much more interesting news than the successor to the lackluster HTC One M9. These reports speak of one device (codename T50) set to have a 5-inch screen, while the other (codename T55) purportedly packs a 5.5-inch screen.

Assuming the rumors that HTC is planning to hold a dedicated event after Mobile World Congress are true, we’ll be hearing some official news about the phone sometime in the next couple of months.
