With the OnePlus 3 rumored to be making its first public appearance on June 14th, it’s about the right time for the next “flagship killer” to appear in a listing on China’s TENAA site. Similar to the FCC in the US, all phones launching in China tend to land on TENAA a few weeks before they launch. OnePlus is no exception, and was spotted by Engadget China, with pictures from every angle and a list of specifications.
Given the number of leaks and rumors we’ve already seen from reliable sources, there’s very little new in the TENAA listing. The design matches what we saw in the press render that showed up recently, and specifications are exactly what well-known leaker, Evan Blass said they would be.
As a reminder, the OnePlus 3 is due to feature an all-glass front with the pill-shaped fingerprint sensor below the screen similar to the OnePlus 2 from last year. Where this generation differs is on the back, where the StyleSwap-equipped rear has been replaced by an all-metal unibody construction. Of course, we’re expecting the company to launch a range of cases in the usual range of wood, sandstone and carbon finishes, just as it did with the OnePlus X.
Specifications are likely to include a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, a quad-core Snapdragon 820 paired with 4GB RAM and powered by a 3,000mAh battery. While a recent screenshot showed the phone running a developer preview of Android N, the phone released to the public will almost certainly be launched running OxygenOS based on Android Marshmallow.
