Following its launch on iOS a few weeks ago, Prisma has just arrived on Android after a successful beta test earlier this week. If you’re unfamiliar with the app, Prisma uses cloud-computing to provide artistic effects to your photos. Unlike filters in apps like Instagram and VSCO, Prisma can identify objects within a photo and intelligently change how the filter behaves accordingly.
Prisma transforms your photos into artworks using the styles of famous artists: Munk, Picasso as well as world famous ornaments and patterns. A unique combination of neural networks and artificial intelligence helps you turn memorable moments into timeless art.
Prisma is available for free on Google Play although in the time it’s been available, many users have run into slow processing times due to the app’s reliance on cloud-computing. With the rise of Android users on the platform and over 10 million iOS users, the app is bound to be a bit slow while it works to meet the newfound demand.
