The Motorola Razr Fold doesn’t need to get the leak treatment right before it’s announced because the company already gave us a sneak peek at the beginning of the year. What wasn’t known, however, was what Motorola’s flashy FIFA special edition Razr Fold would look like.
Motorola entered into a partnership with FIFA to design devices themed on the upcoming World Cup. The tournament is being held in the US, Canada, and Mexico this year. So far, the company has already designed a limited edition FIFA 2026 Razr, and it takes on a very bright look.
Motorola’s Razr Fold won’t be quite as bright. New leaks courtesy of @evleaks paint a much darker picture. Not meant to be figurative, the FIFA 2026 Razr Fold is literally black and gold.
An etched “2026” design in FIFA’s iconography can just be made out on the back, and a gold Motorola logo sits right in the center. The phone will likely come with the special World Cup wallpaper seen in the images, too.
It might be a polarizing design, but I think it looks good. It’s much quieter than the Razr FIFA World Cup variant. Clamshell designs are a little more fun, anyway.
The leak doesn’t offer anything in terms of specs. Motorola recently teased the phone, but that sneak peek was meant only to drum up excitement for the upcoming launch. The company notes that there will be more to come on March 2, during MWC.
Almost everything else about design is already known. During CES, we had some hands-on time with the Razr Fold. In all honesty, the hardware looks more than promising. It’s a competitive build that goes up against the Galaxy Z Fold 7 on a level playing field.
As for what’s inside, very little is known. We’ll likely have to wait until the official launch in early March.
