IKEA is today officially launching new lights and sensors that work with Google Home, while the furniture giant is also launching a super-cheap $10 speaker that can form a network of audio throughout your home.
Following an early preview at CES 2026 earlier this year, IKEA is launching a few new products in its smart home catalog today.
This starts with the VARMBLIXT table lamp, the revival of a hugely popular lamp that IKEA says “sold once every 5 minutes in the US” since its debut a few years ago. This new variation features remote control and full color controls either through IKEA’s app or other Matter apps such as Google Home. The lamp does also come bundled with one of IKEA’s button remotes. It costs $99.99. Meanwhile, a pendant version of the lamp is also launching for $159.99 with a unique design and the same smart controls.
We previously went hands-on with these earlier this year.

Other new additions to the Matter lineup include the $7.99 GRILLPLATS smart plug and a $29.99 ALPSTUGA air quality monitor with a built-in display.
Notably, IKEA has been having some issues with Matter devices, but these should work in Google Home better than devices having more issues, such as the company’s buttons – we’ll follow up if we end up getting our hands on a unit.

Moving outside of the smart home, IKEA’s other big launch today is the wide debut of the KALLSUP speaker. This $9.99 Bluetooth speaker is uber-cheap, sounds surprisingly good for its price, and has the ability to form a network of speakers through your home. There’s no Wi-Fi needed here, with each speaker communicating to the other through a dedicated, built-in wireless connection. You can pair “several” of these, IKEA says. They’re available in white, pink (pictured above), and green.
The KALLSUP has been available in some places for a little while now but, at this point, it’s widely available in-store and online.
