This new, ridiculously thin magnetic power bank fits the Pixel 10 perfectly [Gallery]

Baseus has officially launched its new PicoGo Air magnetic power bank. It’s ridiculously thin and just so happens to fit Pixel 10 like a glove. Here’s how to save over 30% on one.

I’ve covered a couple of Baseus power banks on 9to5Google over the past year, including one that was pretty thin without compromise in the AM52. That’s still my top recommendation for most folks, as the 10,000 mAh capacity and optional built-in cable deliver the best overall experience.

But I really did want something a bit thinner and easy to take around.

That’s where the new PicoGo Air really caught me.

Baseus sent over an early unit a few weeks ago and, ever since, it’s been a staple of my everyday carry just because it fits everywhere. The slim 5,000 mAh battery is just under 7mm thick, making it thinner than the actual Pixel 10 I’ve been attaching it to. It’s roughly twice as thick as the camera bar protrusion and, even when the phone doesn’t have a case, it doesn’t spill over the edges like so many other options do. This was designed around the iPhone Air, of course, but it’s a perfect fit for Pixel 10 owners.

Notably, this isn’t a Qi2 power bank like the other option I mentioned earlier. It complies with the standard, but it doesn’t feature full Qi 2.2 support. As such, Pixel 10 Pro XL charging is limited to 22.5W. I assume this has something to do with how Baseus squeezed everything into such a thin form factor, but it has no major bearing on day-to-day use.

What does affect daily use is the design, but in a good way. It has has some clever little ridges in the backplate that help out with heat management. Like any Qi power bank, it gets warm, but noticeably less so.

There is an NFC tag built in here which launched the Baseus app. Holding the phone to that area shows some information including the specific battery percentage and battery health. The percentage is the only thing that feels worthwhile here to me, and I’m not sure it’s worth having the app installed full time. A cool idea at the very least though.

Really, the selling point for me here is the size. It’s crazy to think that a 5,000 mAh power bank can be this thin, and it’s a perk that it fits Pixel 10 so perfectly.

The Baseus PicoGo Air is available now on Amazon, and you can use the code EHYGXRMR at checkout to save on your order – it took the price to around $40~ when we tested it.
