Back in 2018, luxury brand Montblanc was the first to launch a Snapdragon Wear 3100 watch. Montblanc is now back with a Summit 2+ that’s slightly larger and adds LTE. Meanwhile, this debut is coinciding with Google adding eSIM activation and management from the Wear OS companion app.
One of the first Wear OS smartwatches to use the Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor was the premium Montblanc Summit 2, and now it appears there’s a revision on its way. According to a public listing, the Montblanc Summit 2+ in the works that includes LTE connectivity.
Last month, Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon Wear 3100 to power the next generation of Wear OS devices. Focused on providing an always-on mode and longer battery life, the first smartwatch powered by that chipset is available today with the Montblanc Summit 2.
