In an interesting move by Google, the company has begun advertising their new Chrome sale right inside of Chrome’s ‘New Tab’ page. The ad, as seen above, says, “Get a Chromebook for the holidays: the computer powered by Chrome.” This comes after Google announced this afternoon a $50 price slash on both their Chromebooks. Things must be really bad in the Chromebook department to push an ad like this..

Am I the only one seeing this?

I don't want a web browser that advertises to me. I'm returning to Firefox. Dumb Sh**.

Going to switch from Chrome as well – don't like it!

This is ludicrous, I hate it. I am deleting Chrome on all my systems and returning to IE.

This kind of thing from Google really annoys and frustrates me. It is just another example of them doing what the hell they want – It is essentially spam and if we all did that we'd be banned or penalised

    Grrrrrrrr I'm cross :-)

  8. Alex says:

It's hardly intrusive is it? I hate more how they've moved the closed tabs so now I need two clicks instead of one to get back to something.

  9. Bob Bobson says:

Clicking the [x] button does nothing. Plus, the ads also appear in Chromium!
