LG G Watch R removed from the Google Store, Watch Urbane now available in India

The LG G Watch R has been seeing scattered availability over the last several weeks, leading many to believe that it was set to be fully replaced by the LG Watch Urbane. Now, Google has officially removed the device from sale on the Google Store, and it looks like the suspicion of many has been confirmed. The device, previously available for $249, is now showing up as “unavailable in your country” for visitors in the United States and Japan…

Perhaps interestingly, Google does list the LG G Watch R as currently still available in Australia, however. This removal from the Japan and United States stores comes just a few weeks after the watch was discounted from its original $299 price to a more reasonable $249. On a somewhat related note, Google has now put the LG Watch Urbane up for sale in India.

Also of note is that as of today, Google has opened up the online Google Store as a whole to the country of Greenland for the first time—or at least removed it from the list of countries where you can’t buy devices on the Google Store.

Earlier today, we told you that a member of the XDA Developers forum managed to enable the much-awaited WiFi feature from Android 5.1.1 on the G Watch R.
