Samsung may soon bring us a Batman-themed Galaxy S7 edge

Partnerships between Samsung and comic book franchises are everything but new. Last year, on the occasion of the launch of the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, the Korean giant teamed up with Marvel to bring a special edition, Iron Man-themed Galaxy S6 edge, as well as a custom Gear VR experience.

The smartphone titan is now switching sides, however, and a collaboration with DC Comics may soon bring us a fancy new Galaxy S7 edge

Whereas fans may debate about Iron Man’s position in the ranking of favored Marvel superheroes, there will likely be little debating about Samsung’s choice to go with Batman.

If anything, however, the company picked two of the most well-known masked heroes whose daily lives are spent among fancy tech of all kinds, as both Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne are not shy about their — often overkill — toys.

And if you ever wanted to feel a little more like the beloved Caped Crusader, following interactive Google Maps tours of the Batman v Superman Batcave, it looks like Samsung too will have you covered.

Aside from what seems to be a Batman-themed box, very little about the upcoming Galaxy S7 edge seems to be actually related to the Dark Knight, but given that the back of the device has not yet been shown, we’ll leave it the benefit of the doubt (an engraved Batman logo would be pretty cool).

What we do know is that Samsung’s flagship is coming to somehow promote the Injustice: Gods Among Us game, which albeit having been around for a few years may now be on the verge of being updated as part of DC’s relaunch of its comic book franchises under the name “Rebirth”.

No word has yet been given regarding an actual launch date, but Samsung Mobile’s account has now tweeted about it two times in three days, and the “coming soon” caption hints that it will likely not take long for fans to get their hands on it.
