Google now offering 4 month free trial for Google Play Music/YouTube Red

If you have yet to try out Google Play Music, or alternatively, YouTube Red, then Google’s latest offer to get you to sign up for the service is certainly one worth looking at. In celebration of July 4th, Google is offering a 4 month subscription to both services completely free of charge.

Play Music normally costs $9.99 every month for full access to Google Play’s fairly extensive music library as well as access to YouTube Red, putting the value of this deal at about $40. Once signed up you won’t be charged at all through early-November when the standard $9.99 monthly fee will commence. You should also be able to upgrade to the family plan once the trial has ended.

This is a pretty enticing offer, but keep in mind that it’s only available for new subscribers. If you’ve ever signed up for Play Music or YouTube Red in the past, you won’t be eligible to sign up with this offer. Of course the same applies if you’re a current subscriber.

We haven’t been able to verify yet if this is a US only promotion, however considering the fact this is a Fourth of July promotion, it most likely is. If you’re interested, head over to Google Play Music and sign up.
