Swype, the predictive keyboard that allows you to simply leave your finger on the touchscreen keyboard and swipe from letter to letter, has finally arrived in the Google Play store – but only after Jelly Bean was released, with its built-in Swype-alike Gesture Typing …
Swype will still be useful to those running earlier versions of Android, running on everything from 2.2 up. At 99c, it is cheaper than best-selling Android keyboard Swiftkey which is $3.99.
It’s likely the delay in getting the app into the Play store was due to exclusive deals Swype owner Nuance had done with various handset manufacturers.
