Google releases Android Device Manager into Play Store

Google’s Android Device Manager first came our attention in August as a web-only tool to help locate your lost Android device. Now, with the release of the Device Manager app into the Play Store all Android users cane have a dedicated app to help you:

  • Locate Android devices associated with your Google account
  • Reset your device’s screen lock PIN
  • Erase all data on the phone

This initial release should be available to all Android devices…however, losing your device with the app installed still means you’ll get plenty of use out of the web tool. The app, which is a direct counterpart to Apple’s “Find my iPhone” app is perfect for Android owners with multiple devices and any security is better than no security. The app is available to download right now at the Play Store link below.
