Listed only by its FCC ID of A3LSMG850F, the dimensions fit earlier rumors that the handset would be smaller than the Galaxy S5, with a 4.8-inch 720p display in place of the S5’s 5.1-inch 1080p screen. The dimensions are shown as 133x67mm, around a centimetre shorter and about half a centimetre narrower than the S5 …
The exact model shown isn’t a U.S. spec handset, but it is expected to be released here on both AT&T and T-Mobile.
The Alpha was first rumored in mid-July, and we saw the first photo of the handset later that month. It appears that the handset is mid-range rather than the premium version of the S5 that some had predicted. PhoneArena suggests that the spec will be an octa-core Exynos 5433 processor, 2GB of RAM, have a 12 MP camera and a heart-rate monitor.
The German site All About Samsung has suggested that Samsung may launch the Alpha on 13th August.
