LG announced several features of its new G Flex 2 smartphone at CES 2015 last week, including a full HD 5.5-inch dynamically curved P-OLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with Octa-Core 64-bit capable CPUs, 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual LED flash, 3,000 mAh battery and Android Lollipop. But one important piece of information that LG has withheld to this point is how much the G Flex 2 will cost…
While the handset maker remains tight lipped on pricing information, we now have a pretty good idea how much the LG G Flex 2 will cost thanks to Amazon Germany, which HDBlog.it found is now taking pre-orders for the smartphone for €599 in Europe. That price tag equates to roughly $700 in US dollars at the current conversion rate, suggesting that LG will be positioning this smartphone at a flagship-level price point.
LG G Flex 2 will be released in the United States during the first quarter of this year, with commitments from carriers including AT&T and Sprint already in place. LG promises a global rollout of the device following its launch in South Korea. In case you missed it, we went hands-on with the G Flex 2 at CES last week and shared out first impressions about the smartphone in the video below.
