Idol-3-X2-premium_5.51Alcatel originally announced its Idol 3 budget smartphone at Mobile World Congress and now the device is available for pre-order. While the company had originally promised an April 21st pre-order date, it’s now offering an early bird special on Amazon and its own website. For the brief time being, the 5.5-inch Idol 3 is available on Amazon and Alcatel’s website for $200. That’s $80 off the anticipated price.

The 5.5-inch Idol 3 has a 1920×180 display with Android 5.0 Lollipop and an octa-core processor with a 1.5GHz + 1GHz set-up. On the back is a 13MP camera, while on the front is an 8MP camera. The battery is 2910mAh with Alcatel touting 13 hours of talk time.

The device is slated to be released on May 21st, but as mentioned before, pre-orders are now open. View our hands-on below:
