Report: HTC One M10 will use AMOLED, UltraPixel camera, no BoomSound speakers

Writing for VentureBeat, notorious leaker Evan Blass has revealed new details of HTC’s next flagship device. The One M10, codenamed the Perfume, will have a Snapdragon 820 processor and quite interestingly will be returning to using an UltraPixel camera.

Earlier rumors have pointed out that the One M10 will be similar in appearance to the One A9. This report cites that the device’s appearance is subject to change, but will not have front-facing stereo Boomsound speakers, just like the One A9. On the A9, the speakers were let go to put a fingerprint sensor on the home button and that appears to be the same case here.

Notably, HTC appears to be returning to their UltraPixel camera after ditching it on the One A9 and M9. This camera has a 12-UltraPixel resolution, optical image stabilization, and laser-assisted autofocus. As rumored earlier, it will run a Snapdragon 820 processor and have 4GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage and an expandable microSD card slot. It will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and have Sense 8.0. Moving away from their traditional SuperLCD 3 panel, HTC will likely be using an AMOLED 5.1-inch 1440 x 2560 display.

The article reports that HTC will not be launching at MWC, but is opting for a separate event at a later date instead. There are no launch or availability details as of yet.
