Google’s annual I/O developers’ conference is set to be a big one this year, and that all starts with the keynote scheduled for 10 AM PT on Wednesday, May 18th. Of course we’re on the ground at the event, but Google is also providing live streams in both typical flat and 360 video.
This year, the venue is Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View right next to Google’s campus. In a Google+ post post earlier this year, Pichai mentioned how this year’s I/O will be special as it marks the 10 year anniversary of their first Googleplex developer day.
The venue is much larger than typical, and the Shoreline Amphitheater is able to house many more people than the typical ballroom at Moscone. The grounds of this venue are also much larger than usual, so there’s going to be a lot to explore and experience. Follow along with us over the coming days as we bring you Periscopes, galleries, live blogs, and more from the various events Google has planned. (Personally, I’m stoked for the ATAP event.)
Today’s keynote is expected to highlight Android VR, some Chrome OS goodies, some updates on Android Wear, a new messaging platform from Google, some updates on Android N, and more.
