Nest mistakenly shows what looks to be Google’s upcoming Pixel phone in a commercial

We’re only a couple short weeks away from what we assume will be Google’s announcement of the Pixel and Pixel XL, and the leaks are really heating up. We’ve seen detailed renders, terrifying pricing, and now, we’re getting an unofficial look at what might be the Pixel in an ad from Nest…

In the ad (purportedly aired in the Netherlands), we see a device which looks a lot like Google’s Pixel from the front and back. Just like in previous leaks we see a camera sensor on the top left corner and on the front we see the ambient light sensor, speaker, and camera all in the same places as in past images and renders.

The design of the phone also matches up, right down to the colors. Android Police claims that the aluminum color seen here will ship with a white glass panel on the back and with white glass on the front. Darker colors will use black in those areas.

It’s unclear if this is in fact a Pixel, but that certainly seems to be the case. You can view the ad below, although the quality is lacking since this only aired on TV and has yet to be posted online in full quality. The device shows up at 0:09 and again briefly at 0:17. We’ll know more about the Pixel phones soon, so for now, we’ll just have to wait…
