As October is coming to a close, we are quickly approaching Huawei’s November 3rd event. While we don’t have any confirmation yet about what will be announced there, we can speculate that the event will revolve around the launch of the upcoming Mate 9. Although almost everything about this handset has already slipped through the cracks, a leaked official-looking press render is now giving us a better look at the device…

Famed device leaker Evan Blass has taken to Twitter to share the new press render of the Huawei Mate 9, as seen above. Unlike with previous leaks that showed pixelated images of the handset, this render allows us to take a closer look at the Mate 9, including its Leica branded dual camera setup.

In September there was a pretty large spec leak that shared information about the phone’s configuration options and possible pricing. As seen in the diagram below, the phone will be available in gold, gray, white, “mocha”, pink and black with different RAM and storage options. The Mate 9 is also supposed to range in price from $480 to $700 depending on which tier of the phone you decide to purchase.

UPDATE: Venture Beat is now reporting that this render is actually the curved-screen variant of the Mate 9. They are also claiming that the Pro will run a 1440 x 2560 QHD display which is a bump up from the 1080p resolution screen on the standard model.
