Google One starts including Fitbit Premium and Nest Aware

In a significant expansion, Google One now includes Fitbit Premium and Nest Aware, which we previously reported. This is starting in the UK.

Update: Google has confirmed to us that “Fitbit Premium & Nest Aware are currently available with Google One Premium plans in the UK,” which start at 2 TB. As of today, this expanded offering is just available in that one country.

Meanwhile, the Nest Aware Plus add-on costs an additional £5.99 per month.

Existing Fitbit Premium and Nest Aware subscribers will get “refunded for any remaining time,” with more details sent over email.

Fitbit Premium today enables additional stats, like Daily Readiness Score, Sleep Score details, Sleep Profile, Stress Management Score details, and Wellness Report. You also get workout videos, audio sessions, and mindfulness sessions as part of Fitbit Coach.

On the Pixel Watch 2, you get access to Safety Signal. This provides LTE connectivity if you don’t have a carrier plan to use Safety Check, Emergency Sharing, Emergency SOS, and Fall Detection. It also lets you make/receive calls from emergency contacts.

Fitbit Premium costs $9.99 per month (or $79.99 annually), which is what the 2 TB Google One plan costs. 

Meanwhile, Nest Aware ($8/month or $80 annually) gives you 30 days of event video history for your Nest Cam and intelligent alerts, including Familiar faces, Smoke alarm, Carbon monoxide alarm, Glass breaking, and e911.

Paying for Nest Aware Plus ($15/month or $150 annually) increases that to 60 days and adds up to 10 days of 24/7 video history.

According to one UK-based report today, Google has started emailing subscribers — at the 2 TB tier — about how “You’ve got Fitbit Premium at no extra cost.” This is said to be live and reflected on their accounts, but we’re not seeing wide availability yet. We spotted back in October that Nest Aware is coming to Google One. 

Another report in our comments notes how Google One will include the base Nest Aware plan with the ability to get the Nest Aware Plus “add on.”

Your previous Fitbit Premium membership was canceled, and you’ll get one bill, plus a refund for any remaining time.
