For some reason this cycle, YouTube Music was very late to releasing a recap for Winter 2024, but it’s now finally available.
Despite Spring starting last month (March 19), YouTube Music is only now widely rolling out the latest recap of what you listened to. It started appearing earlier this week for some users. Google usually releases it before the seasonal turn.
Instead of it being called the “Winter Recap ’24,” your auto-generated YouTube Music playlist is now called “December-February ’24.” It’s not very catchy and the cover art is rather generic, thus requiring you to rely on the long name. Be sure to manually add that playlist to your library before the next seasonal 1one becomes available.
As always, you get a story-esque recap that notes top artists, tracks, albums, genres, playlists, and moods. The last “Summary” shows total listening time at the bottom. There’s also the musical photo album if you enable the Google Photos integration. You get generic images otherwise.
Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner of YouTube Music for “Your Recap” on Android or iOS. yt.be/music/recap is only available on mobile.
