Motorola MA1 is the most popular wireless Android Auto adapter, but for the past month it’s been missing in action. Finally, the adapter is back in stock.
As we first noted in late August, Motorola MA1 had vanished from Amazon, and was on fire sale at Target at the time too. Initially, it looked like a sign that the adapter would be discontinued. But, a few weeks ago, we confirmed that, no, the MA1 wasn’t reaching its end of life.
Now, Motorola MA1 is back.
On Amazon, stock of the popular wireless Android Auto adapter is once again available and shipping immediately for Prime customer. The device, usually sold for $90, is also pretty heavily discounted to about $65 right now, matching that of the AAWireless adapter which has been in stock this whole time.
Motorola Sound, the company putting out this device, previously told us that the lapse in stock was only temporary and that the device is not being discontinued just yet.
Motorola MA1 is a dead simple plug-and-play adapter for wireless Android Auto which connects to your car via a USB port and to your phone over Bluetooth. It works fairly well, but as we noted in our review, the lack of software updates and an app holds the device back from certain additional functions and limits just how useful it can be. Still, it’s the most popular Android Auto adapter for a reason, because it’s just so easy to use.
You can once again order the device from Amazon as of this week, and it’s also available from Best Buy for roughly the same price, a good option if you have a store nearby as many have same-day store pickup as an option.
