The Good Lock app from Samsung, which we once called a weird and wonderful alternative user interface, has received a big update today to support the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and its famed iris scanner feature…
The new feature comes in v24.0.12 of the app, which also brings other useful features such as the ability to manage whether or not Keep notifications appear on the lockscreen and turn on category icons in the status bar for grouped notifications. There’s also a plethora of bug fixes as usual.
The Galaxy Note 7 launched early this month with its 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED edged display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 12 MP main camera, 5 MP selfie cam, and of course its iris scanner. Now you can use that same iris scanner with the popular lock screen alternative.
You can find the app on the Galaxy Apps Store (which, unfortunately, doesn’t have a web-facing portal).
