Android 15 Home Controls screensaver now shows the weather

The Home Controls screensaver coming with Android 15 now shows the temperature and current weather condition.

Introduced with Android 15 Beta 3, Home Controls lets you “Quickly access your home controls as a screen saver.” It’s basically the fullscreen experience accessed from the Quick Settings (QS) Tile or lockscreen shortcut.

This includes the Cameras, Climate, Lighting, and Wifi “Categories” up top and a grid of your Favorites below.

The time is noted in the top-right corner, with Google recently adding the current temperature and condition.

It’s a nice addition, especially on the Pixel Tablet. The Home Controls screensaver is ostensibly for Hub Mode with the Charging Speaker Dock, but it’s also accessible on phones. The weather icon is slightly different on a Pixel 9 Pro with the Pixel Tablet using the flat version.

Weather rolled out to Home Controls as a server-side change following a Dreams update for Android 15 Pixel devices two weeks ago.
