He’s been covering all things Android since 2021 when he joined the team at Android Police, serving as both News Editor and Phones Editor throughout his tenure. Prior to professionally covering Android and all things smartphones, he was just a passionate enthusiast, having purchased his first Android device — HTC’s Thunderbolt — back in 2011.

Will has a degree in video production he occasionally remembers to use, but his real love lies in both writing and podcasting. He’s constantly fascinated — and sometimes frustrated — by the ever-evolving shape of consumer technology, and enjoys bringing that sense of affection and curiosity to everything he produces.

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Edge could pack its larger battery into a 5.5mm chassis

Samsung is reportedly planning a pretty big shakeup for next year’s lineup of flagship smartphones, including a move to replace the typical ‘Plus’ model with a follow-up to the Galaxy S25 Edge. Now, we’re learning just how slim the Galaxy S26 Edge might get — and how much of a battery upgrade might come with it.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 is as repair-unfriendly as you’d probably expect

Samsung’s latest foldable might be surprisingly resilient to a stress test, but durability doesn’t always translate over to repairability. The crew at iFixit have finally gotten their hands on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and to absolutely no one’s surprise, that slim chassis doesn’t quite make for a quick and simple teardown.

Motorola’s new ‘Brilliant Collection’ infuses its cheapest Razr with Swarovski crystals

Samsung’s clamshell might have held the spotlight more recently, but that doesn’t mean Motorola is taking the challenge lying down. Months after releasing its latest Razr lineup, the brand has partnered with jewelry brand Swarovski to create a flashier variant of its most affordable foldable — and Motorola says this is only the beginning.

Pixelated 064: Oh snap, Pixel 10 has magnets

Welcome to episode 64 of Pixelated, a podcast by 9to5Google. This week, Abner and Will make up for Damien’s absence by discussing the latest crop of Pixel leaks, including US pricing for the phones and watch that seemingly avoids tariff-mania. It’s not just prices, though — a new “Pixelsnap” leak all but confirms the native Qi2 support we’ve been begging for for years, while a new Pixel Buds 2a leak points towards a pretty familiar set of earbuds.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is coming at the exact wrong time for Google — and foldables

In just a few short weeks, Google will take the stage in New York to finally unveil the Pixel 10 series. Everything we’ve seen about these devices so far — and we’ve seen plenty — suggests a lineup that is, in some ways, frustratingly familiar to last year’s devices. There’s nothing wrong with a “tock” year, of course, where Google can catch its breath after last year’s massive leap in both presentation and build quality. But unlike with the standard Pixel 10, this year’s foldable might end up take the brunt of the blowback from this decision.

Meta might be making another smartwatch, and it still has a camera

While its name might point to a mostly-abandoned push into the metaverse, Meta’s found itself in the midst of a wearable revolution, thanks to both its smart glasses partnership with Ray-Ban and, of course, the Quest lineup of VR headsets. Now, several years after initially cancelling its first-ever smartwatch, Meta might be looking to give wrist-based gadgets another go.

Samsung is gearing up for the death of the S Pen, whether you like it or not

It’s a bad time to be an S Pen fan — or, at least, that’s what Samsung’s not-so-quietly communicating to one of its most devoted bases. The company that practically invented the “phablet” has spent 2025 trying to leave behind (or, at the very least, downplay) one of the very things that brought it success in the first place. I’m worried the writing is on the wall for the S Pen, and it’s only going to grow bleaker from here.

T-Mobile’s satellite service works even if you use another carrier, only on these devices

For the past few years, T-Mobile has been working in partnership with Starlink to deliver a custom-branded satellite service to users in the US. Now, after regulatory hurdles, Super Bowl ads, and an extended beta period, it’s finally read for anyone who wants to try it — including non-T-Mobile customers.

Galaxy S26 Ultra is ‘100%’ getting a charging upgrade beyond 45W, leaker says

We might be half a year away from the eventual unveiling of Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series, but that doesn’t mean a fuller picture isn’t already starting to come into view. And when it comes to the Galaxy S26 Ultra specifically, it sounds like a long-demanded charging upgrade might actually be in the works.

Remember that gold-plated Escobar foldable? The man behind it is headed to jail

If you have a hazy recollection of a gold-plated Escobar-branded foldable from a few years ago, your mind isn’t playing tricks on you. While the product announcement was very real (and very focused on a select group of popular tech influencers), the phone itself was every bit the scam it seemed to be on the surface — in fact, so was the entire company.
