You may remember a few months ago, Oppo released Project Spectrum for its Find 7 handset. The idea was to remove some of what many of us find frustrating about ColorOS (Oppo’s custom Android skin), and make it much more like stock Android. While it retains some useful Oppo software tricks, it looks and feels a lot more like ‘regular’ Android.
The Oppo R7 Plus, a 6-inch version of the R7, has finally opened for U.S. and European pre-orders, the Chinese manufacturer promising to ship by the end of the month. The device was first announced back in May.
$499 gets you a Snapdragon 615 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage (with a microSD card slot to expand it), a 13MP main camera, 8MP front camera, fingerprint sensor, dual SIM card slots – and a 1080p display that’s virtually edge-to-edge. In Europe, the R7 Plus is priced at €449.
Chinese manufacturer Oppo has announced two new mid-market smartphones, the R7 and R7 Plus – going on sale in China tomorrow, with the international rollout expected next month, reports GSM Arena.
