Adobe releases Creative Cloud app for Android in preview mode

Along with a number of announcements landing today during Adobe’s MAX conference, the company has quietly released an Adobe Creative Cloud app for Android in preview mode. The app, which works with the free 2GB Creative Cloud membership in addition to paid subscriptions, allows users to manage their Creative Cloud accounts by browsing and previewing files stored in the cloud service. The app was previously available for iOS users and sports a similar design.

That includes previewing PSD, AI and files from some of the other Adobe CC apps, but while in beta mode Adobe notes the app “does not support all the features of Creative Cloud.” The company does promise, however, that it will add more features throughout the preview on a regular basis and that today’s release is “stable and ready for everyday use.”

Adobe Creative Cloud for Android: Your work, your inspiration, your creativity, with you wherever you go… Part of your free membership, this app connects your mobile devices to the Creative Cloud and unlocks new tools in your favorite apps. It also allows you to browse and preview your PSD, AI and other design files stored in the cloud.

The Creative Cloud Android app (Preview) is available to all to download on Google Play now. Many users report the app isn’t yet compatible with several tablets.
