The Mountain View company has today launched a new feature for its Calendar app that lets you find the perfect meeting time that works for everyone. After adding the people who are attending the event, the new “Find a time” option analyzes schedules and suggests a time with no conflicts…
With a single tap, “Find a time” helps you find meeting times that work for everyone—even if they’re in different time zones—based on their availability and the times they usually have meetings. If there are no times that work, Calendar will look at which conflicting meetings can most easily be rescheduled. Designed specifically for organizations where sharing your calendar with colleagues is the norm.
Although “Find a time” makes suggestions, you still of course get to control when the event or meeting actually takes place. The app lets you easily see everyone’s schedule, and you can also schedule meetings behalf of others given you manage their calendar.
Currently the feature is restricted to Google Apps for Work and Edu accounts, but I think it would make sense to bring it to regular Calendar users in the future as well. The features is hitting Google Calendar for Android now, and Google is “working” on bringing it to iPhone soon.
