Nova

The talented TeslaCoil developers this afternoon updated their insanely popular Android app Nova Launcher with a variety of new features and enhancements. We just told you how to install Android “L” on your Nexus 5 or Nexus 7, but if you don’t have one of those devices or don’t want to put up with the bugs, today’s Nova Launcher update will certainly keep you satisfied.

The update today adds a variety of new design options, all of which are inspired by the new Material Design feel of Android “L.” For instance, users can now switch to an app drawer inspired by “L” or use the app animation from the newest version of Android. The “L” folder preview and search bar are also now available in Nova Launcher.

  • “L” style folder preview (Settings > Folders > Folder Preview > Line)
  • “L” style app animation (Settings > Look and Feel > App Animation > Slide Up)
  • “L” style search bar (Settings > Desktop > Persistent Search Bar > L, or long-press on the quick search bar widget and select Edit)
  • “L” style app drawer icon (Long-press on the app drawer icon and select Edit then tap the icon and select the opaque white icon under Built-in)

The update is available to all users on the Play Store now.
