Google Drive updated with Filter Views for spreadsheets and more

Google Drive Sheets

Google Drive has been updated with a new Filter Views feature that makes it easier to sort and filter data on view-only spreadsheets. Google Sheets users can now turn on a “temporary filter view” from the toolbar or Data menu to make adjustments that appear on their screen, but do not permanently apply to the shared spreadsheet.

Google Sheets users can also now share a link to a specific view to save others the hassle of looking through a list of views to find a specific one. Simply copy and paste the URL to the view you wish to share. A filter’s range can also be adjusted now, instead of having to delete and re-create it.

Google is still in the process of rolling out the new Google Drive appearance, based on Material Design, so these changes to Sheets may not be available for all users yet.
