HTC VP of Product Management Mo Versi announced on Twitter today that the AT&T HTC One M8 will begin to receive Android 5.0 Lollipop tomorrow, April 7th. Versi confirmed that HTC has received approval from both Google AT&T to commence the update.

As we’re all familiar with, Lollipop brings a multitude of new features to Android devices. Changes with update include a revamped notification drawer, support for lock screen notifications, and a new card-based multitasking interface. There are also many Material Design interface tweaks throughout the operating system.

When Lollipop was first revealed, HTC promised to update all of its devices to the latest version of Android within 90 days of when it received the source code from Google. In February, however, HTC acknowledged that it wasn’t going to hit that deadline for all of its devices.

HTC One M8 users on AT&T can expect the over-the-air update to hit their device beginning tomorrow, April 7th.
