Google is planning to launch a large, 10.2-inch tablet with the Pixel brand attached, according to a report this morning from Android Police. Interestingly, this device is said to be launching later this year not with Chrome OS, but rather with Android Marshmallow. The device will also purportedly sport a detachable keyboard — a la the iPad Pro or the Microsoft Surface — and will pack the same quality build and lightbar found with the Chromebook Pixel. And, since this is a Pixel device and not a Nexus, the hardware is going be 100% Google’s…

The Pixel C (which is codenamed Ryu, possibly named after a character from Street Fighter), will reportedly feature a 10.2-inch screen that clocks in at 308ppi and sports a backlight capable of 500 nits. According to Android Police’s sources, which they are reportedly 8/10 confident in, the device will pack a NVIDIA X1 quad-core processor and Maxwell-made GPU. There’s also 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and, as mentioned, the device will run Android Marshmallow. It will apparently look just like the current Chromebook Pixel, minus the keyboard.

The Pixel C will also sport a USB Type-C connector, and there will be “two keyboard accessories to choose from,” with one coming in aluminum and the other one in leather. There aren’t any details available on pricing and or exact availability yet, but that’s to come. As for a rough guess, AP says that the device will actually ship sometime in November. That means that we might be hearing about the device tomorrow, alongside two new Chromecasts, two new Nexus phones, and more.
