Google publishes stock Calculator app to the Play Store w/ new Android Wear app

Google has been slowly moving many of its stock apps to be available on the Play Store, and today marks the day that the Calculator app gets the honor. The Play Store listing, which of course offers the app for free, also brings an update to version 6.0 which includes a new Android Wear app…

Other apps that have made their way to the Play Store after many years of being confined to Google’s Nexus offerings include the Clock app, the Calendar, the Camera, the Phone and Contacts apps, and more. Unlike the latter two apps, the Calculator app seems to be compatible with a wide variety of devices.

As you can see below, the new Android Wear app is a lot like its bigger sibling. Now on your wrist, you can type in numbers that appear in the hilariously small section at the top of the app. And if you want to do any operations on these numbers, you have to open up the panel on the right. Other than that, the main smartphone part of the app looks to be the same as it was before.

You can get the app on the Play Store for free right now.
