Jide partners with display maker AOC to make an all-in-one PC running Remix OS 2.0

Jide has been on a role after launching Remix OS 2.0 earlier this year. Currently in beta, the desktop optimized version of Android has some good design ideas that allows for multitasking and productivity. In partnership with display maker AOC, Jide is making an all-in-one PC that runs Remix OS 2.0.

Quite similar to a Chromebase, the AOC Remix OS all-in-one PC features a 23.8-inch display with compact bezels and a modern and clean design. The front, rear, and base of the computer are coated in silver. On the backside, a rectangular box at the bottom appears to house all the computer’s components. It visibly sticks out and is not flush with the rest of the back.

There you will find 4 USB ports, 2 HDMI, audio-in/out, Ethernet, and a power plug. To the left, are various buttons, including power and volume. Specs-wise, both models use a quad-core 64-bit ARM processor that runs at 2.0 GHz with 2GB of RAM. The only differentiation is in terms of storage. A lower-end model features 16GB of storage, while the higher-end has 64GB.

On the hardware front, Jide has previously released a Surface-like tablet and a small box that runs Remix OS. The AOC Remix OS PC came to existence as a result of interest from the Chinese enterprise market. It will launch in China this summer, but might launch in other markets if there is wider demand.

Pricing has yet to be announced, but expect it to be on the lower end. The computer is currently on display at CES Asia 2016 in Shanghai.
