As we head into 2017, people are starting to form their New Year’s resolutions and Google today is rolling out a new feature to make it easier for its users to stick to their fitness-released goals. In a blog post, Google detailed a new Reserve with Google feature that will allow users to easily book fitness and wellness classes right from Google.
Available via mobile and desktop, the feature allows users in Los Angeles, New York City, and San Francisco to instantly book classes. Simply search for fitness studios near you and you’ll see recommendations for classes. From there, you can book and pay for the class without leaving the search results page. Additionally, you can book a spot in a session that you’re already familiar with.
Google says that it has partnered with many of the most common fitness class scheduling back-end providers to rollout this feature.
Starting today we’re piloting a new way to easily book fitness and wellness classes. Reserve with Google will be available in Los Angeles, New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area, to make keeping up with your resolutions easier than ever.
To book a fitness class, visit the Reserve with Google site on desktop or mobile web. There you can search for fitness studios near you, get great recommendations for fun new classes, or book a spot in the session you already know and love.
Reserve with Google is possible through deep partnerships with top scheduling providers you may already use, including MINDBODY, Full Slate, Front Desk, Appointy — and we’ll be adding more, like zingFit, MyTime, and Genbook soon.
While the feature is currently limited to the Reserve with Google website, Google plans to roll the feature out to Google Maps and Google Search over the coming days.
