How to hide the display notch on any Android phone

As we have seen time and time again, once a handful of manufacturers introduce new design styles like a display notch, the rest of the market tends to follow. But if you’re someone who dislikes the notch and how the screen works around it, you can give an app called “Nacho Notch” a try which will hide the notch as much as possible.

How to hide an Android phone’s display notch

  1. Download Nacho Notch app
  2. Hide the notch

1. Download Nacho Notch app

First things first, you’ll need to download the Nacho Notch app from the Play Store. Thankfully, the developer isn’t charging anything for its app so it won’t hurt your wallet to test the app out for yourself.

2. Hide the notch

Once installed, you should know that the app’s icon in your app drawer does nothing. To launch Nacho Notch’s functionality, you have to launch it from a quick tile.

To add the Nacho Notch tile, you’ll need to swipe down on the notification shade, exposing all of the quick tiles. Next, tap on the pencil icon to edit the quick tiles. Locate “Hide Notch” and drag the tile into the active section. Now, when you tap on the tile, it should hide your device’s notch.
