After launching in Korea recently, Samsung has officially announced that its AI-adding One UI 6.1 update is now available to Galaxy S22, Fold 4, and Flip 4 devices in the US and around the globe.
One UI 6.1 first debuted on the Galaxy S24 series early this year, with the update largely focusing on adding various AI features. The update later expanded to the Galaxy S23 series and other 2023 flagships from Samsung, and now it’s the turn of devices from 2022.
Samsung announced One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S22 series, Tab S8, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Flip 4 in April and started rolling out the update on May 2. However, issues with the update ended up pausing the rollout until yesterday.
Now, in a blog post, Samsung has officially opened the floodgates for One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S22 and other 2022 releases.
Samsung says that One UI 6.1 is now rolling out to the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Tab S8 series, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the United States and other countries around the globe. Users have already spotted the update available for their devices in several countries, though US users don’t seem to be seeing it available just yet.
It’s reiterated in the post that AI features coming to these older Galaxy devices are pretty extensive, with the list including:
- Circle to Search with Google
- Chat Assist
- Interpreter
- Live Translate
- Note Assist
- Transcript Assist
- Browsing Assist
- Generative Edit
- Edit Suggestion
- AI-Generated Wallpaper
