Android 4.4.4 now available for T-Mobile’s Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition

T-Mobile is currently rolling out Android 4.4.4 to its version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. While it’s not Google’s latest flavor of its mobile operating system, the last version of KitKat does patch a few potential security holes, which makes it a must have for anyone rocking this device.

Samsung unveils the Galaxy Note 3 and 10.1 2014 edition with updated specs across the board

Samsung’s JK Shin today announced the Galaxy Note 3 at IFA today with improved LTE radios, better enterprise capabilities and improved specs. The Note 3 has a 5.7″ 1080p screen (up from 5.5″), 3GB of RAM (up from 2), 13 megapixel camera, 32/64GB storage, 3200mAh battery and a leather-like rear cover. It is also thinner and lighter even with the bigger display.

Samsung also updated the Note 10.1 2014 edition with better speakers, leather cover and display.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1 gets high repairability score in iFixit teardown

The folks at iFixit are once again ripping apart the latest devices. This time Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1, officially launched just last week, gets the teardown treatment. It scored relatively high for repairability compared to the industry’s leading tablet, the iPad. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1 came in at 8 out of 10—that is in comparison to the newest iPad’s 2 out of 10 score.

        * Samsung Exynos 4 Quad 1.4 GHz processor with integrated 3D graphics
        * Wacom W8008 (we assume this is used for S Pen input)
        * Atmel mXT1664S touchscreen controller
