9to5Google Gift Guide: Great Android phones at Black Friday prices

gift-guide-2015

We can’t escape Black Friday, it’s all over social media and the blogosphere. But what we can do is hopefully make it a little easier for you to find the best deals. This list won’t include any old Android phones that are discounted. There are plenty out there which we wouldn’t touch even if we’re shopping for a bargain. Instead, this list is only populated with devices we’d recommend buying and are now even better value for money than they’ve ever been.

Here are some of the best deals on great Android smartphones that we know of:

SAMSUNG

For Samsung lovers, we’ve found a number of different devices. You can grab a 32GB model Galaxy S6 in black or gold for less than $450 on eBay. What’s more, Best Buy is offering the phone, along with its dual-curved sibling for just $1 on a 24 month deal. As a bonus, I’ve included a couple of deals on last year’s flagships: Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 3, both of which can be purchased for less than $200.

Galaxy S6 (32GB in Gold/unlocked) – $441 on eBay
Galaxy S6 (32GB in Black/unlocked) – $441 on eBay
Galaxy S6 (32GB in Gold/Sprint model) – $1.00 with 2-year plan
Galaxy S6 Edge (32GB in White Peal/Verizon) – $1.00 with 2-year plan
Galaxy S5 (16GB Black/Verizon Wireless) – $199 on Amazon
Galaxy Note 3 (Pre-Owned/Verizon Wireless) – $199 on Amazon

MOTOROLA

nexus 6

Motorola’s Nexus 6 is still a fantastic phone and is now upgradeable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and somehow available for less than $300. What’s more, Best Buy is selling the budget-friendly Moto E for $10, while the 2nd gen Moto X and Moto G will be available at discounted prices over the weekend.

Nexus 6 (32GB) – $279 on eBay
Nexus 6 (Black Friday only) – on Amazon for just $199! [SOLD OUT]
Moto E with Blue Grip Case (Verizon prepaid/8GB) – $9.99
Moto X 2nd gen (64GB) – $299 on Monday, Nov. 30
Moto G 2nd gen – $99 from Best Buy

LG

I have to be honest, there aren’t many LG phones I personally recommend. But, the G4 is undoubtedly one of this year’s most underrated phones. For whatever reason, it didn’t take the consumer market by storm. Now you can pick it up unlocked for less than $400, on T-Mo for $325 or from Best Buy on a 2-year plan for $1.00. Which ever way you’d like to buy it, it’ll be cheaper than it should be.

G4 (Black Leather) – $399 on Amazon
G4 from T-Mobile – $325 with code SAVE75
G4 from Best Buy – $1.00 on a 2-year plan with multiple carriers

HTC

Like the G4, the One M9 failed to excite many people, and so that means you can pick it up for little outlay. It’s still a great phone, and at  under $350 on AT&T, it’s a no-brainer.

One M9 – 32GB (AT&T Unlocked/Open Box) – $349

ASUS

zenfone-2-laser

ASUS’ ZenFone 2 Laser has only just been announced, but it’s subject to a $50 discount right away. The device features 3GB RAM, Qualcomm octa-core processor, full HD 5.5-inch screen with Gorilla Glass 4 and a laser autofocus-equipped 13MP rear camera.

ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser – $199 on Amazon
