Just ahead of the official announcement, the OnePlus 3T has leaked out via the company’s website (since pulled). As expected, OnePlus’ latest smartphone is nothing more than a slight upgrade on the current model…
What’s new? First off, the rumored upgrade to the Snapdragon 821 processor is true as the OnePlus 3T packs a quad-core 821 clocked at 2.35GHz and paired with the Adreno 530 GPU. Like the standard OnePlus 3, that’s paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, but users also now have the option of packing 128GB of storage into the phone for an extra fee. There’s also a new color variant, “Gunmetal.”
The paralells with the standard OnePlus 3 continue with the same design, size, and weight, although it is worth mentioning that the OnePlus 3T packs a larger 3,400 mAh battery with OnePlus’ quick Dash Charge technology. The front facing camera also gets a big upgrade with a 16MP sensor replacing the 8MP sensor on the OnePlus 3.
Aside from that, nothing else is new. The OnePlus 3 uses the same 1080p Optic AMOLED panel coated in Gorilla Glass 4. We can’t see pricing on the page, but all should be revealed within the next couple of hours.
