Samsung Galaxy S7 edge retail box leaks leading up to official announcement

s7 edge box2

Samsung is set to announce the Galaxy S7 Edge in just a couple hours, but the leaks (of which there have dozens) aren’t over yet. Now, we’re getting our first look at the retail box for the Galaxy S7 Edge, all but confirming several specs that have previously been speculated (via SamsungViet).

Here’s the list of specs seemingly confirmed by this box:

  • 4g LTE
  • 64bit Octa Core Processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • 139.5mm (5.5-inch) Quad HD sAMOLED
  • Dual Pixel 12MP/5MP
  • IP68 Water & Dust Resistant
  • Wireless Charging
  • KNOX Protected
  • 32GB Memory
  • “Gold Platinum” will the be the name of one color variant

We’ve seen leaks of the Galaxy S7 left and right, but this is probably going to be one of the very last leaks before the phone actually launches. Previous rumors have speculated that the phones will have a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890, 4GB of RAM, and a 12MP main camera powered by Samsung’s new BRITECELL sensor. The S7 Edge will have a 5.5-inch curved screen, while the standard S7 will purportedly be 5.2-inches diagonally.

With LG’s G5 event now out of the way, Samsung is going to be the second major Android press conference at Mobile World Congress 2016. The event begins at 10AM PST/1PM EST and will be streamed by Samsung in a variety of ways.
