Google+ adds new Insights feature for quickly tracking overall reach & influence on the platform

Google’s Daniel Raynaud today announced a new quick dashboard for Google+ Web that makes it easier to track your follows, post views, comments, +1s, and more. The feature, dubbed Insights, is available to everyone starting this evening.

In a post on the social platform, Raynaud explained that the purpose of Insights on Google+ is to make it easier to see the big picture of your social influence.

It’s always great to see a positive response to something you’ve posted. But sometimes you want to see what’s happening overall — the big picture.

To help you see how you’re doing, we’re introducing a new profile insights panel in Google+, available whether you post as a person or a page. It’s a private dashboard where you can see the engagement on all your posts, and on reshares of your posts, as well as follows on your profile and Collections.

At this point it’s unclear if Google+ Insights will come to the mobile version of the social network, but there doesn’t appear to be any reason why it wouldn’t.

Google Plus insights is available on the web version of Google+ by heading to your profile and clicking the three dots in the upper right corner. From there, you’ll see a quick breakdown of follows, posts, views, comments, +1s, shared posts, and your overall reach.
