After Google announced the launch of the Find My Device network on Android last month, the first trackers are finally starting to ship to customers.
The Find My Device network for Android was first announced in 2023, but delayed waiting on Apple to bring unwanted/unknown tracker alerts to iOS. As that’s finally happening in iOS 17.5, Google has opened the floodgates for AirTag-like trackers that work with Android.
As announced in April, the first trackers from Chipolo and Pebblebee are set to start shipping this month. Both companies, in fact, said their trackers would start shipping to customers on May 27.
Now, the first reports of orders shipping have started coming in.
A 9to5Google reader sent us a confirmation email of their Pebblebee Clip having shipped. The confirmation email includes a USPS tracking number for the Clip, though the package hasn’t actually started moving through the Postal Service just yet.
It doesn’t come as a huge surprise that Pebblebee is getting an early start for shipping. The company, like Chipolo, has been sitting on many orders for its trackers for over a year now. Pebblebee says that all three of its trackers will begin shipping to customers starting on May 27, but this early start hints that at least some trackers may arrive earlier than that date. At the very least, more customers will likely get their tracking numbers in the days to come for orders that end up being delivered on May 27.
Chipolo, notably, is shipping early pre-orders starting on May 27, but most customers will be waiting into June for their deliveries. Pebblebee similarly says units will be shipping out over the course of a few weeks.
The launch of Android’s Find My Device network has been slow and messy due to the hefty delay but, finally, it’s actually happening.

I wish Google would announce their first party find my device trackers before I decide to buy a 3rd party one.
The Find My Device network is rolling out more widely this month, including internationally.
If you pre-ordered a tracker from Pebblebee or Chipolo, let us know in the comments below if your order has shipped!
Thanks Henry!
