We’re well in to holiday shopping season now. Assuming you’ve picked up some of our recommended Android phones, smartwatches and Chromebooks, there are still some great novelty items out there for the Android fan in your life. Whether you’re looking for collectibles, clothing that shows off your allegiance to all-things Google, or something fun, we’ve got you covered with our list of the best little items to buy for Android fans…
Mini Figures – from $9
Any passionate Android fan will appreciate a plastic figure in the shape of the Android robot, and there are hundreds (if not thousands) of different Android mini-figure designs to choose from that go well beyond the basic green robot. You can buy a blind box for around $8 or $9 on Amazon from any of the most recent series, or buy a blank white one to design for yourself. If you’re feeling generous, you can even buy a box of 16 mini-figures (pictured above) for $111. Dead Zebra has a wide range of options available too. You can even buy stackable, hexagonal display cases for them in singles, packs of three or a bulk buy of 36.
T-Shirts – from $10
There’s an endless number of options available if you want to proudly show-off your allegiance to Android in form of a tee. As you can imagine, there are a number of variations on the Android vs. Apple theme, including the green robot taking a bite in multiple colors and sizes from $10-$24. There’s also the Android version of the three wise monkeys, and the obvious R2-D2 Star Wars crossover among many, many others.
Google Now mug – $9
On Google’s very own official merchandise store you’ll find a ton of Google, Chrome and Android branded accessories, drink-ware and clothes, but arguably none as attractive as the Google Now Skyline Mug. It has a colorful 360-degree image of San Francisco’s skyline wrapped around the outside of the 14oz mug, and it’s microwave and dishwasher safe.
Portable Speaker – $17
As portable speakers go, the Android bot-shaped one probable isn’t one for the discerning audiophile, but for $17 you wouldn’t expect it to be. It uses a built in 3.5mm jack cable to connect to your device and features two 2W watt drives as well as a passive subwoofer to help boost sound. What’s more, it can last 6 full hours of playback at maximum volume, charges via USB and its eyes glow different colors. What more could you possibly want?
Flash Drive – $6
Everyone needs a flash drive, and every Android fan needs one that looks like a green robot. You can pick up a 4GB official one from Google for $21.25, or buy a less official 8GB one on eBay for $6.
Socks – $8
For whatever reason, novelty socks are a mainstay of Christmas gift-giving. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Google has its own collection of branded wearables for your feet. They cost $8 and come with two green Android options and a You “Tube” sock. Which ever one you buy, they’ll get at least a smile on Christmas morning, even if they’re never worn.
Ice Cube Tray – $10+
It doesn’t get much more novelty than having Android-shaped ice cubes floating around in your drink. Believe it or not, you can actually buy ice cube trays with the robot-shaped molds for doing just that. They’re available for between $10-$15.
